Hell has broken loose in Benue State.
This little boy, whose only offence was to be born in a land where life has no value, is now one of over 200 innocent souls cut down in cold blood when gunmen stormed Yelewata village in Guma Local Government Area.
Families wiped out. Children burnt alive. Mothers buried with their babies. Many people are still missing… dozens injured and left without medical care. Many families were locked up and burnt inside their bedrooms.
Benue has become a graveyard of unfulfilled promises, a place where government after government recites empty speeches while graves multiply. A nation that can not protect its children has already surrendered its soul.
This little boy’s lifeless body is not just another casualty. He is a haunting reminder of a leadership that failed him, a system that looked away when it mattered most. For him, and for the countless others, protection delayed was protection denied.
May the Almighty, who sees all and judges all, grant him rest. May He comfort the weeping mothers, the fatherless children, and the broken families left behind in the killing fields of Benue State, Nigeria.
How many more must die before we say! Enough!!!
